Gemini gets an update and is now smarter and faster than other AI systems.

Google has released an update to Gemini that improves its AI reasoning capabilities. The latest version, Gemini 2.5 Flash, not only provides more detailed answers but also improves the model's understanding of images and other files. The update is now available to all users of the Gemini app.

According to a post on its Twitter account, Gemini 2.5 Flash has added a host of new features to the latest version. The AI now provides clearer explanations for homework assignments. When asked any question, Gemini will explain any complex topic step-by-step thanks to its improved reasoning capabilities.

Google notes that Gemini 2.5 Flash answers now feature improved formatting. The AI will use elements such as headings, lists, and tables to make them easier to read. Additionally, when you upload detailed images or charts, Gemini can explain, organize, or convert them into flashcards.

This update is now available within the Gemini app. Whether you're using it on the web or on your mobile device, all you have to do to use it is make sure the "2.5 Flash" option is selected in the form selector. The new version will replace the current version, so no additional settings are needed in the options.
